Enhance Questions

Our detailing service is a masterful blend of technical expertise and artistic flair, where skilled technicians meticulously address imperfections like swirl marks, holograms, and scratches to revive and rejuvenate lackluster or flawed finishes, frequently exceeding the original quality standards set by the manufacturer.

No — even premium or low-volume manufacturers, have limitations in the time and precision dedicated to finishing a vehicle’s paintwork. At Polix, we elevate the factory finish to an entirely new level. The transformation we can achieve, even on a brand-new vehicle, is truly remarkable.

To give your vehicle a showroom shine, we can provide a thorough detailing service at the dealership, prior to your collection, leaving it looking like new and exceeding factory standards.

Our standard detailing levels range from 1 to 5. The difference is primarily in the extent to which the paintwork is corrected; for example Level 1 is an entry level detail concentrating on protection whereas our Level 5 Signature Detail is our most complex process removing the clear coats “orange peel” which includes 100% paint correction factor.

Depending on the the level of enhancement you wish to achieve, the timescale will usually range from 1 to 5 days, however some special projects and intricate cars can take longer.

The term “Orange peel” refers to paint distortion; this is the dimple effect found in the paintwork’s clear coat after it is applied at the factory. All cars possess orange peel even new, the level of which can vary depending on the car and even the individual area of the cars bodywork.

No, it will not affect the manufacturers warranty of your cars paintwork, in fact correct care is an important part of maintaining your vehicles finish throughout the warranty period and beyond.

Protect Questions

Our Polix PPF is a proprietary blend of advanced acrylic, polyurethane, and urethane polymers, engineered to provide unparalleled protection, precise fit, and exceptional optical clarity.

Our certified installers apply Polix PPF, which is backed by a comprehensive, ten-year warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship, including cracking, peeling, staining, and hazing. This warranty is provided directly by Polix, ensuring that any claims are handled efficiently and with minimal hassle.

The clear coat is designed to heal surface scratches and common swirl marks that occur during routine washing of the car. If the scratch penetrates through the film’s clear coat, it will not heal.

Yes, you can wash and wax your vehicle as if Polix PPF were not present.

The rate at which a scratch heals is influenced by its severity and the ambient temperature. Minor scratches typically recover within one hour at a standard room temperature of 22°C. In warmer environments, the healing process is expedited. Furthermore, the healing process can be accelerated at any time by applying hot water to the affected area.

With this technology, there is no limit to the number of times Polix PPF can heal itself. As long as the clear coat is not penetrated it will heal over and over again.

Depending on how the film is cared for, the clear coat can last indefinitely. Regular washing and waxing will keep the clear coat in top condition for years to come.

The clear coat has a very low surface energy, which makes it extremely difficult for organic compounds to stick to the film. Insects, bird droppings and environmental contaminants (which would normally cause yellowing) such as road oils, exhaust smoke and pollution can be removed during regular washing. Polix PPF works in a similar way to Teflon coating – protecting the surface of the pan beneath it by preventing anything from sticking.

If ordinary car wash or soap and water won’t remove a stain, there are a variety of products that can do the job. In most cases simple isopropyl rubbing alcohol will remove anything on the surface of the film. In cases of more severe staining, or where something has been left on the film for a long period of time, a sparing amount of lacquer thinner can be used. Bug and tar remover, available at auto parts stores, is also effective.
